Hello UNC AAPS Members,
Today we had a truly amazing turnout for this semesters first event. We had some great student speakers to enhance our knowledge about different areas of Pharmaceutical Science. It is clear that UNC Chapel Hill is a great place to be interested in Pharm Sci!
As you heard, AAPS has a lot to offer on a national level including conferences, journals, webinars, funding opportunities, etc. We hope to have as many national members in our group as possible. After elections next month, we will finalize some discussions about how to support UNC AAPS chapter members who would like to be national members, but cannot do so financially.
As a student chapter, we have a lot lined up for this semester and beyond. Our next meeting will be at the end of September (finalizing the date) and will feature elections and a speaker from KBI BioPharma. Nate Oien is an alumni of UNC and will be discussing his journey to industry, his experience in industry as well as answering any questions you might have for him. We hope that future events can be more discussion based as today was more one-sided than expected.
