Good morning AAPS Members!

As this academic year concludes, we are getting ready to hold elections for the 2023-2024 Executive Cabinet. Are you interested in serving in an executive role? The following cabinet positions are available.

President:

Elected from the general membership of the Organization, the President will oversee and/or assist in all duties and responsibilities of other cabinet members.  The president will also ensure that all requirements are met for funding by ESOP/GSO and AAPS.  The President will also be responsible for advertisement of events as well as communication with the faculty and staff.

 Vice President:

Elected from the general membership of the Organization, the Vice President participates in responsibilities identified by the president. The primary role of the VP will be to identify and schedule speakers from industry.  They will form a committee of students from different divisions and will book the speakers for events throughout the year.

 Secretary:

As part of the AAPS cabinet, as secretary your main role is to communicate information of member interest, events, and resources to our members list-serv. Alongside the rest of the cabinet, updating and reaching out to our members on our social media accounts is a key form of communication that we want to continue to strengthen. In addition to regular communication, the Secretary will be responsible for recording of minutes from all scheduled meetings as well as taking/obtaining photos during events and posting them online.

 Treasurer:

The Treasurer is primarily responsible for maintaining all AAPS finances. This includes, but is not limited to placing food orders for AAPS events, writing checks to reimburse visiting speakers for travel expenses, and keeping records/receipts of all purchases (i.e. gifts for speakers).

You can nominate yourself or peers for any of the available cabinet positions by submitting this form. Please submit all nominations by May 9th.

Thank you,

2022-2023 AAPS Chapter Executive Cabinet
